How to use this site
The home page of this website has nine modules, each a collection of great tools for reducing gambling harm. Explore all of them to see which one may suit your needs best.
Inside of some modules, you will find sub-modules that are groupings of tools that address similar issues. Make the choice based on what exactly you want to address. Once you open a sub-module, you will find a choice of the tools, also called strategies. The strategies have detailed explanations on how to make them work in your life.
Special note:
- My vision and goals module can be a great start for anyone using this Toolbox as it helps to clarify what you value most and how you see your future.
- Be a support person and Help for families are two modules specifically created for family members of people who gamble.
- Be a support person is about helping the person on their own journey towards gambling reduction.
- Help for families focuses on reducing gambling harm experienced by a family with or without the involvement of the person who gambles.
My Plans
Plans - this is what makes it all work. Once you read a strategy, you will be prompted to draft a plan. Make as many drafts as you wish, there is no limit. The drafts will automatically appear in My Plans where you can adjust them and finalise.
- My profile. You can change your password or profile image here.
- Draft plans. This is an opportunity to sieve through many great options and pick only the ones you really want to do. The rest of the drafts can be deleted or stay in the drafts for later. Once a draft is ‘complete’, it will automatically move into Completed plans tab.
- Completed plans. These are the plans you decided to implement. You can still update the plans and ask your coach for feedback.
- My vision and goals. We encourage everyone to complete My vision and goals module on Home page. This is to help with being crystal clear on what you want to achieve and why. Your vision, the reasons for change, and the limits that you have set for yourself will be pinned at the top of your Completed plans. You can always update your goals.
Coaching support
We provide coaching around making plans. Just press ‘Request feedback’ in My plans for one of our coaches to get back to you with advice or support. You can also send a message to your coach with any questions.
Coaches will provide feedback to help you make your plan work in the best way possible.
